New Nails

Since I've had no where to go for a couple of weeks I kind of slacked off on painting my nails, which was odd for me because I alwayyys have my nails painted. I guess it was kind of a good break for my nails though because they were starting to look a little stained so a couple weeks of oxygen is good for them haha!

Anyway, with school starting I wanted my nails to look nice and perfect. I shaped, cut and filed them and made 'em look all nice and neat! It was kind of hard for me to pick out a color but I ended up going with Essie Tart Deco. It is such a beautiful bright coral color, and it looks good with a tan, so I slapped a couple coats on and there's my mani for ya! :)

I painted my toe nails a pastel-y turquoise color but I will honestly say I am saving your eyes from the awfulness that was my feet in pictures. i mean really i even cringed. So I'll just keep it at that!

I will say though I almost painted my nails with trendy dark fall colors. I cant believe I'm saying this but I'm kind of getting that fall bug... like I've been thinking about layering and wearing sweaters and high socks with my ankle boots, burning my pumpkin pie candles...who would believe summer is practically over already?! :(

What colors are you wearing on your nails?

Summer Tanks

I was able to stop by the mall for a quick trip and didn't plan on buying anything...but we all know how that ends up! If anyone has ever been to the store "Fashion Q" you know what I'm about to tell you. But for those who have never been in one, you're missing out. The majority of their clothing items range from $5-$25. So basically everything I'm showing you here I got for $32!! It's really insane.

The clothes are very well made too, so it's like a two for one. As you can see there is a trend going on between all of the tanks I picked up haha. I don't know why I ended up picking all flowy tanks but I guess that's a trend I like right now. You can pair these tees with so many different combinations of clothing, from high-waisted shorts to leggings and so on.

I don't know which one is my fav, but I do like the black California one. I'm currently wearing that with some ripped high-waisted shorts and a bright red lip! Feeling a bit edgy today...

Which tee do you like the best?

Summer Nails

It’s finally summer!! Well actually for me it’s been summer for like 2 months already haha, any guesses on how hot it was yesterday? 109 DEGREES. YES. 109. Honestly that’s a little too hot for me. But what can I do I’m only living here for one more year J

Summer is probably my favorite season for nail colors and designs. You can get away with wearing blindingly bright neon colors or soft pastel tones.

Fingers//
For my fingernails, I love wearing any colors that will enhance my tan. Normally during the fall and winter I’m pretty light, so summer is when I always get my tan on haha! I usually go for coral-ly pinks and bright blues. This summer I have been OBSESSING over bright white nails. It looks so chic and to me, beachy. Pairing these colors with simple jewelry or midi rings are my favorite. My favorite white nail polish at the moment I actually bought from Forever 21. Random right? Haha, but it stays on for literally 5 days straight! And I'm not even joking!

Toes//
Toenails are special because you don’t always see them! As silly as that sounds its true. During the summer though, when feet are the center of attention in pools and sandals, you have to make sure to make ‘em look nice. I'm currently loving Essie's "Tart Deco" which is a vibrant peach color, but I also LOVE blue. Especially a bright turquoise. That paired with a glittery blue on the fingernails and you’re ready to go!

I have been seeing that trend a lot lately. Whatever color you have on the bottom, put it on top with glitter and some nail stickers. It adds texture and interest.

What are your go-to summer nail colors?

Currently Loving: My favorite bracelet

This is just a quick little post i felt like writing..Recently, I have been wearing a certain bracelet every single day. I really love it a lot, especially because it means something special to me.

My mom bought this for me after she saw me eyeing it in a little boutique. We know the designer of it, so that just made me want it even more! I saw my mom sneak away with it, and i think she might of thought i didn't see her. hehehe.

Well, long behold i found it in my Easter basket :) i was so excited. but enough of that, I want to tell you what it means. This bracelet was made from Lapis, turquoise, clay beads, and swarovski crystal. It's called "Lord of Success" and it was also blessed. It protects, removes obstacles, gives knowledge, wisdom, and wealth. The elephant is a symbol of courage, strength, luck and longevity. The Lapis is protection and psychic awareness.

To tell you the truth, I feel stronger when I wear this. It calms me and gives me a good feeling. So, that's why I've been wearing it! It's a little different than what I would usually wear or pick out, but after looking at it, I do think it's beautiful.

Do you have any interesting jewelry items?

Sunny Saturday Morning

Today I went to my first yoga class in a really long time, probably since I was 10 or 11, so six or seven years ago. It was actually really amazing, and such a relaxing thing for me to do. After a lot of emotional things going on, I think I really needed a class like this. It wasn't just an easy yoga class either. I actually got pretty hot and sweaty doing some of the moves! Which is good, because I like a challenging yoga sequence.

The yoga instructor talked about overcoming obstacles and releasing fear through our breath. Just breathing through all of these different challenging stretches really helps to remove blockages throughout the body, if you know what I mean. I really liked one part of the class, where we were all in child's pose, and it looked like we were bowing or surrendering ourselves in front of the teacher. She said that surrender doesn't mean to give up, but to let go of something. And that really stayed with me. I think it taught me that even if we "give up" something it doesn't always mean we're throwing in the towel. It just means we know enough was we need and what we don't need, and that it's okay to let go.

The teacher said some really great things throughout the class, but I just wanted to share some of what she said with you. Maybe it will help one of you, or maybe it was just a quick little story to read :-)

Have a beautiful weekend!!!

Summer Lovin'

It's finally here! Well for me anyway. Say hello to those warm sunny days and endless nights. Summer is probably my favorite season, especially because school is finally over and you can basically do whatever you feel like doing (i guess if you're not a proper adult yet). It's gotten pretty warm where I live so I've been out a few days trying to get SOME kind of color into my complexion. It's kind of creepy how ghostly I can look over the colder months.

Here are some things i've been really getting into for the new season:

White Nails

Dewy Skin

Crop tops

Messy hair

What have you guys been loving recently?
