Sin-A-Mon

Ohhh yes. The color of the year haha! Maybelline's "Sin-A-Mon" is THE Kylie Jenner lip everyone is freaking out about, and yes I am too. I absolutely love this color and it's totally giving me 90's vibes. For this look I went with the mauve lip, and i wanted my eyes to kind of match it too. I used my Naked 2 palette, putting "tease" all over the lid and "busted" in the crease. I really love these purply mauve colors because they just create that sultry "I'm not trying that hard but still look good" look haha! Then I used the L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara and badaboom! ;)

Naked 2         "Sin-A-Mon"       L'Oreal Miss Manga

I can't wait to wear this look into the Fall season. There are so many ways to change this look too, you could always add more bronzer, or blush, or even do some thick liner. The possibilities are ennnnndless! ;)

Review: L'Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara

After wanting this for so long and lusting over the adorable packaging, I finally picked up this mascara that everyone is talking about. Seriously, I don't think I've heard anything bad about it, and in almost every beauty video I watch on youtube, this is mentioned. so I don't feel the least bit guilty for buying it! Okay so packaging, A+. When I opened it up I noticed that the wand is almost like a pyramid shape, going from big to a small point, but it's still small overall. After curling my lashes, I applied the mascara to my outer lashes first, and I will say I actually said "WOW" out loud. It made them SO long and spidery almost. I know some people don't like this effect, but sometimes I do like it. It has that effect without going overboard (am I even making sense?). By the time I finished one eye, I was in love with it. With the pyramid shaped wand, it's easy to get to the smaller lashes with out the product ending up all over your face, which happens to me almost everyday. It's very black and I don't think I have anything bad to say about it! Overall, I'm so glad I finally have this in my life ;)

Have you tried this mascara?

Autumn Beauty Inspiration

Obsessing over the deep cherry/plum and soft nude/mauve lip

So for me, Autumn is all about bringing the beautiful dark, deep colored lips back into the game! It's only been since last year that I am confident enough to sport these colors, and boy am I glad I made the decision to stop caring about what people might think haha! I love to wear these colors because it screams elegance, confidence, power, beauty, and a lot more. I picked out three of my favorite drugstore cherry colors. I've had the Kate Moss color for over a year and every time I wear it someone asks me where I got it! All of these colors are affordable, pigmented, and they don't feather or streak around the lips, which is a big plus for me.

I can't WAIT to wear these colors in a few weeks! Okay I actually already wore the Kate Moss color to school ;)

Which are your favorite dark cherry lip colors?

Beauty Bits

Today I quickly went to the drugstore and within minutes picked out these beeeeautiful products!! I have been wanting to purchase these lipstick colors for I don't even remember how long. The deep plum/cherry color is from Revlon and it's called '477 Black Cherry'. I saw this from Kailee Mckenzie, who is a you tuber I watch. I saw her wearing it like last winter and just now got it haha! The beautiful taupe-mauve-90's throwback lip everyone wants-color is from Maybelline and it's called '935 Sin-a-mon.' i ALSO picked this up on recommendation from Claudia Sulewski, or BeyondBeautyStar on youtube. I cannot wait to wear this color. It looks a little brown in the pictures, but trust me, this is the perfect dupe for that Kylie Jenner lip everyone has been wanting.

I also got my hands on the L'Oreal Miss Manga mascara, which I cant wait to try out (watch for a review coming soon!). And I have to add, the packaging is absolutely adorable. Even if I end up not liking the product, I'm still onna keep it for looks! A+ on packaging L'Oreal ;)

So you know sometimes you just have to make that emergency drugstore stop and buy yourself a few things. Hey, I felt better after I made the purchase and thats all that matters. And now I have some new lip colors to try out for fall and winter. You have NO idea how that excites me. Especially since I've become confident enough to wear dark bold colors like plum, cherry, and red :)

Have you picked up anything recently from the drugstore?

Joyous Perfection

Oh boy it's been a minute since I posted last. I was afraid of this happening once I started public school again! I'm really sorry guys, this last week was a bit crazy! I had a lot of schoolwork, babysitting hours, and chores to do but this weekend I'm getting a lot of stuff done for the bloggy :)

I want to start off by saying I had an emotional week. I'm not 100% sure why, but I think I am feeling many different emotions all at the same time. I'm still getting over some nerves from starting a new school, I've felt a bit lost, confused on what I want to pursue, confused on kids at school, and frustrated. Then on some days I felt elated and happy to be where I am. It's all so hard on me.

I was talking to my mom about being happy, and I was asking her and telling her "I can't wait to be happy" and "i wonder how happy people stay happy." (happy happy happy lol). And then out of nowhere she said something beautiful to me. She said that it's never gonna happen. We are humans, with deep feelings and emotions. We are like the ocean, where we will have gigantic waves of sadness, but like the water it will pass. Or we will have days of overcoming joy, but that will pass too, just like the waves of the ocean. And I totally get it. Even the happiest of people have bad days, it just might not seem like it in their perfect world. The most important part I think to understanding this is to understand that when there is sadness, anger, fear, guilt, it will ALL pass. But it takes time. No one knows how long it will last, and in some cases you have control over it.

I'm not really sure where this post is going, but I kind of had to get that off my chest. It helped me realize that it's OKAY for me to feel this way. After all, I'm only 17! Holy crap that scares me haha. I have been thinking non stop about this coming year, because it's my last year in high school. Thats it. It's over. And it happened before my eyes. I have no idea where the time went and part of me wishes I could get some time back. I've also been feeling regret, regret of not taking more chances and speaking up in class, or talking to new people. It's all so stupid, how society makes you feel so unworthy of everything, isn't it? I definitely had a tough couple of years but I do feel a lot stronger because of it. Since it's my last year, I've had to think about what I want after school is over. Yes I do want to go to college. But the question is, WHAT college? WHERE do I go? Do I leave the state I'm in like I really really want to? Do I travel abroad like I really really want to? Do I compeltely forget the whole college thing and get an internship with some companies or magazines like a really really want to do?? Questions and scenarios like this keep me up for hours at night and I feel like I might explode from all the tension.

On a completely different note, I have actually had a good time at school. And I'm learning a TON of stuff about photoshop, which is awesome. My dad even said he would buy it for me this weekend, which, I'm not gonna lie, made me let out an ear-piercing scream. I can't help it! Hahaha :) Now I'm just chilling on my bed banging out a lotta posts and writing a bit! ;)

Weekly Recap ♡

So my first full week of school is over, and I have to say I'm pretty pleased. I have to get used to waking up every morning for school and getting ready again, since I did online school for a year, but I don't think it's a problem, I'll get back into the hang of things sooner or later. I'm happy with most of my classes. Dance and Acting I'm really excited about. Especially since I've never taken anything like it before. So it's a new experience for me and I'm so thrilled to take on the challenge! ;)

I also met a lot of new people, some are a little different than others, but that's the beauty of going to an arts school. People aren't afraid to express themselves. There's a lot of kids with colorful hair and outstanding makeup, almost like for the theater. Even though sometimes you wouldn't want to approach someone like that, they are all SO nice. It's kind of taught me a lesson and reminded me to not judge someone by the way they look.

Oooh, I also got my drivers license in the mail! Now I am officially able to drive wherevvver I want haha, with the permission of my parents lol.

Saturday I went for a run after taking a couple days off, and it was my fastest and most powerful run I have done in a couple of weeks, which made me feel so amazing. I was almost not going to go because I felt really tired and not up to it, but I forced myself and I'm so glad I did. It really made me feel happy and strong :)

I hope everyone had a beautiful week and a fantastic weekend!! :)

10 Quirky Facts About Me

(I'm weird yes I know!)

1. If I sleep with socks on, one ALWAYS comes off.

2. I'm an early bird. Usually I'm up before the suns up, which for me is about 5:00-5:30. Sometimes I'm even a night owl, which means I probably don't get enough sleep that night!

3. I drink over a gallon of water a day.

4. There's nothing I love more than being creative-whether I'm writing, drawing, playing the piano, doing my makeup. I don't think i could survive without my wonderful imagination!

5. Throughout my four years of high school, I've been to three different schools.

6. When I'm stressed I like to sweat it out. I love running, weight lifting, yoga, and all kinds of different exercises.

7. Sometimes I have days where I wish I could grow up already and do my own thing, and then other days I have panic attacks that I'm growing up way too quickly and I wish I was back in elementary school.

8. I'm a Pescatarian, which means the only meat I eat is fish. I also don't eat eggs, dairy, gluten, or processed sugar. Yes I'm a health freak but I feel amazing! ;)

9. I used to be obsessed with anything Victorian and embellished, now I'm more of a minimalistic, simple lines with a pop of color kinda girl

10. I aspire to have a life where my job is doing something different everyday, like writing, then taking pictures, then creating something, then something different. etc. I'm the type of person that needs change, and having a creative job will give me just that! :)

11. Okay I thought I would just throw this out there-I'm a weirdo. I love to laugh in serious situations, which isn't always a good thing, but it's just who I am. I don't always like to take life too seriously. Life is about living in the moment, and making every moment count! So I like to be happy as much as I can, even though that can be difficult sometimes. But no one is perfect and everyone deserves to live the life they imagine to :)

I hope you liked this fun kind of post! Share some quirky facts about yourself in the comments, i love to read them :)

Autumn is Coming

(pictures are from my pinterest board <3)

As much as I absolutely love summer and summer clothing, I can't help but find myself daydreaming about pumpkins and sweaters and thick socks with booties. Is it just me?? I never thought I would wish for summer to be over, but now that school has started as well, I'm kind of just accepting the fact that time is just going to keep on moving. I even went looking for my Bath And Body Works "Pumpkin Cupcake" candle, which smells like straight up pie if you ask me! Every Fall I ALWAYS wear oversized sweaters with a deep lip. It screams fall/winter to me. And it's super classy. I also love to wear plaid, along with a messy bun and some cute booties. The pictures above really got me in the mood. :)I especially love to wear burgundy on my body and my face. Even switching up my blush to a deep red totally changes the look of an outfit and face.

What do you guys like to wear in the Autumn time?

The Secrets of Blogging Tag

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hang in there the week is halfway over ;) Anyway, I was tagged by Victoria to do the Secrets of Blogging Tag. If you want to see my answers then just keep reading!

1. When did you start blogging and why?

I started blogging over a year ago, but I was a confused mess. I didn't know what to create or put out there, and I felt scared to do absolutely anything. I put a few posts up here and there but nothing to keep readers, and I didn't even like what I was posting! I started properly blogging in May of this year because I love to write and I have been reading blogs for a couple of years now. It just felt like the right time :)

2. How many people in real life know about your blog?

Only my parents. It's kind of weird but that doesn't bother me. I don't want any of my other family members to know about it because, I don't know how to say this any other way, but they are crazy and whacked.  And I'm just starting to make friends at my new school, so I don't plan on bringing up my blog just yet.

3. What are your favorite posts to read?

I love reading all different kinds of posts. Fashion, beauty, lifestyle, interior design...It all depends on my mood!

4. List a blog you've recently discovered.

Galadarling.com --it's all about self-worth and making the most out of everything!

5. What post are you most proud of?

That one is kind of hard. I haven't been blogging for THAT long, so I can't pick from a ton. I really like my food posts and my inspiration boards :)

6. What advice would you give to future bloggers?

Write about what you love, and never force anything, because in the end you won't like it and you won't get readers to like it either. What you put out comes back so put out passion and love and it will come back!

That's it! I'm tagging:

In Katie's Corner

Have a beautiful day!! :)

Going so FAST

Woah, where is the time going?? I can't believe it's Tuesday already. Since I'm not used to blogging and being at school at the same time, I just have to get used to this new schedule. I promise I will be creating and writing more, there's just a lot of stuff happening in my life right now haha! It's crazy, for so long I wished for my life to get busy, and now I am. I'm getting to study graphic design, dance, acting...it's SO cool. Hope you guys are having a great week :-)

New Nails

Since I've had no where to go for a couple of weeks I kind of slacked off on painting my nails, which was odd for me because I alwayyys have my nails painted. I guess it was kind of a good break for my nails though because they were starting to look a little stained so a couple weeks of oxygen is good for them haha!

Anyway, with school starting I wanted my nails to look nice and perfect. I shaped, cut and filed them and made 'em look all nice and neat! It was kind of hard for me to pick out a color but I ended up going with Essie Tart Deco. It is such a beautiful bright coral color, and it looks good with a tan, so I slapped a couple coats on and there's my mani for ya! :)

I painted my toe nails a pastel-y turquoise color but I will honestly say I am saving your eyes from the awfulness that was my feet in pictures. i mean really i even cringed. So I'll just keep it at that!

I will say though I almost painted my nails with trendy dark fall colors. I cant believe I'm saying this but I'm kind of getting that fall bug... like I've been thinking about layering and wearing sweaters and high socks with my ankle boots, burning my pumpkin pie candles...who would believe summer is practically over already?! :(

What colors are you wearing on your nails?

First Day of Senior Year: Check ✔

 (i'm excited okay lol)

Well I made it through the first day!! Honestly it went better than I thought, which is good. I met some really nice people and saw a few of the same faces throughout the day which made me feel more at ease. This new school cannot even compare to my other one. Everyone here is just so different. The girls are friendlier and they don't care about what you look like; it's so refreshing. It's not like a regular high school where it's a constant contest on looks and popularity. I'm really really excited to get to know the kids here.

So today I had my dance class and it was sooooooo interesting and thrilling. We already know when we are performing (ahhh!) and that gave me the chills. Just knowing that I'm finally getting to do what I want to do is so satisfying, you know? It just shows that if you really want something bad enough and you believe in yourself anything can happen. So far what has happened to me has opened my eyes even more to be grateful and thankful all the time. It really changes things!

I also had my Literary class and Creative Writing. The creative writing seemes super fascinating. I already have a different perspective on words and stories. The teacher is really chill and laid back but he is extremely intelligent and caring and I cant wait to start learning from him :)

My mom picked me up when school was done and she surprised me with a bouquet of white roses and a beautiful card :) She almost made me cry because all of this change is what I have been wanting for so long, and to see it come to life is emotional for me lol. We both cried in the morning when she dropped me off too, haha I know we are so lame!!

I'm so glad today went well. Tomorrow I go to my other 3 classes for the first time and I know it will be great.

Have any of you guys started school yet?

Bells Will Be Ringin' ♦

So as I said in my School Supply post, I picked up my schedule, and it's definitely not like anything I've ever had before, in a great way. Here's what it looks like:

1- Publication Design (Graphic design and yearbook)
2- Dance Development
3- Acting
4- Lit. & Rhetoric
5- Trig/ Pre-Calculus
6- Creative Writing

I mean...?! And the thing I also love about this schedule is, I only have three of these classes each day. So on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I will have Publication Design, Acting, and Trig. And then On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday I will have Dance, Lit., and Creative Writing. It's SO cool.

I met my teachers and they seem so different than normal. What I mean by that is, they care about each individual student, and where that student is academically. And the class sizes are small, so everyone will get to know each other and the teacher will be able to help more one-on-one style, which is amazing. All in all, I'm pumped.

And I can't wait to start my dance and acting classes. Those will make me feel like I'm not even at school! I wanna know, have any of you ever been to a school like this? This is my first time and year at an arts school so I'm just curious.

By the time this post is up I will be heading off for my first day! :) I know everything is going to be amazing this year...wish me luck!

New School Supplies ♦ ♢

Please tell me I'm not the only one that gets overly excited for new school supplies?? I was soooo giddy when I got my list of what I needed. I was like "heck yeah, I get to make some tubmlr binders!" ;) As you can see above, thats what I did to my white binder. I was feeling creative and in the mood to make "inspiration" or mood boards so I decorated my new stuff instead..and it took me over four hours. I know right!! Don't ask me how. I decided to make the front and back two different themes, so I found myself scrolling endlessly through tumblr and pinterest until I forced myself to finally print the paper out haha. I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out :)

I'm in love with my two notebooks, especially the orange striped one. Oh, and I finally purchased my first couple rolls of washi tape, and it's as amazing as everyone has been saying it is. The patterns are so fricken cute I honestly want to deck everything I own with it. Maybe a future post on what to do with extra washi tape?! Lol okay maybe not...

So my first day at my new school is tomorrow...I'm actually really excited because yesterday I picked up my schedule and I was able to meet my teachers...Seriously guys I got so lucky <3 It's all thanks to my mom for finding this amazing school!!

When do you guys start school? Did anyone graduate? :)
